What you will work on

  • Design and build AI systems end-to-end (from prototype to production)
  • Develop AI services that integrate smoothly with our backend systems (primarily Node.js/TypeScript)
  • Build and iterate on RAG pipelines, agents, and evaluation workflows
  • Help evaluate new models, tools, and frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with a small, high-performing cross-functional team to ship AI-first features
  • Contribute to the scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency of AI solutions
  • Take ownership of assigned features and technical tasks with growing autonomy
  • Work closely with senior engineers on architectural decisions and best practices

Your qualifications & experience

  • 3+ years in software engineering, with at least 1-2 years focused on AI/ML systems
  • Experience building and deploying AI solutions in a production environment
  • Solid understanding of LLM-based systems — RAG, agents, fine-tuning basics, evaluation approaches
  • Hands-on with Python and AI/ML tooling (PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar)
  • experience with data engineering for NLP, Computer Vision, or tabular datasets
  • Working experience with Node.js/TypeScript is a strong plus (our core backend stack)
  • Understanding of embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval systems
  • Experience exposing AI services via REST or GraphQL APIs
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Good system design fundamentals and ability to translate requirements into working solutions
  • Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team

  • Familiarity with multi-agent systems and MLOps practices
  • Experience building and optimizing an AI-based solution currently in use (performance, latency, cost)
  • Startup experience
